DescriptionCrossfrontier goes double digits! For us, there couldn't be a better artist than Tom Glass to celebrate our tenth release, as he is a perfect fit to our label philosophy. As we are big fans of his 'Simple stories for complicated people' album on Hope Recordings from the beginning of last year, we were more than surprised when we listened to the tracks he sent us. We expected a more melodic progressive style, but got two amazing 80s influenced nu disco tracks, showing that Tom is an artist who does not try to follow a specific plan, but simply produces the music he loves, without caring about genres or hypes! Beside the two original tracks 'You Said' featuring the voice of Tristan Woodroffe and 'You Bring Me Joy' we have three excellent remixes by Balcazar & Sordo, Daniel Solar & Andi de Luxe, and Luis Hill rounding off the package. The mexican duo Balcazar & Sordo, famous for releases on Dirt Crew and No.19, reduce the melody it its essentials and create a great groove with their dominant and fullfilling bassline. The dikso label heads Daniel Solar & Andi de Luxe take a smoother route with additional chords and concentrate on a totally different part of the original, while adding an extra portion of funk and drive. Crossfrontier Audio's own Luis Hill takes the dirtiest approach and creates a deep and bassline dominated track, which gives the original vocal a badass-spin. Also watch out for the official video of 'You Said', to be released in the next few days.
