Wow... House...!

  • Release Date 2011-04-08
  • Labels Society 3.0
  • Catalog 10026361
  • Description Zuckermann & Harry Seldom - "wow… House…!" Original Version and international Remixes! - the characteristic slow motion singsong as well as the slithering, stuttering (and stunning) Fx pads are the leitmotiv of Wow… House…!. functional house music with a musical humour. At the time of its making, the acid bass line was part of that game but later invariably perceived as one of the most thrilling parts of the track - the irony of the artist having to meet up with the irony of how his work is being perceived… It took three more years and a broadband house revival to finally be able to release the track. The advantage of that being: Zuckermann could now use his new global contacts to bring Wow… House…! into the context of his work as a producer whose work is about global differences in contemporary House music. Hence, you can find an ass kick Brazilian chord monster (patriarca Remix), an elegant yet darkly broken Shanghai interpretation of dubby Tech-house (b6 Remix), a lighthearted and delightful jazzy track from Argentina (tala Remix), as well as two remixes from the notorious homeland of electronic music, Germany: atypically, Gunne's Remix is music for a contemporay Berlin Kreuzberg Western, and the Prime Origin Remix (new act of Wareika's lead singer Florian Schirmacher) the dance floor joker of them all with its real biiig break. Wow… cheers to that.
