Why So Serious EP

  • Artists Tank Edwards
  • Release Date 2013-02-23
  • Labels Planet Acetate Records
  • Catalog PA080
  • Description After a succession of respected releases Tank Edwards is no stranger to the Beatport Indie Dance \ Nu Disco Top 100 with tracks including Jacked, Never Enough and his recent Lost at Love Before remix for Him_Self _Her. The Why So Serious EP' showcases his early dance influences. "serious" is a 100 bpm electro nostalgic laced jam that doesn't need to rely on cheesy redundant drops due to its epic juno 60 bassline leaving the listener feeling the need for speed while "Love Sensation" brings the old-school Jazz Funk swagger illustrating how sounds from back in the day can still feel fresh in modern dance culture. The third instalment "Little Fish, Big Fish, Cardboard Box" provides the unparalleled energetic rave sound of 1992 with thumping beats and basslines which is sure to please. In the words of 'the big man' himself, this really is a feel-good EP; a fusion of Late 80's and early 90's club floor explosive flavours to get you partying like it used to be without taking music too seriously.
