DescriptionLast W Label's release highlighted and closed the 'Palace' album cycle withKerri Chandler, Art Department, SIS & Gauthier DM and W is now proud to start over with fresh stuff from the label's founder and underground french icon DJ W!LD, delivering four rough and sexy wild style tunes.
The story of opening 'Bibiz' is quite easy: it has been created to smash dancefloor at Circo Loco DC-10 party. Immediately laying cards on the table, the combination of unfamous samples through DJ W!LD's eyes is absolutely effective and has one primary effect: the crowd goes mad. Following 'Utopia' stays true to this spirit riding on another recognizable but so sexy idea, handing out a groovy and energetic house music piece, making you beg the music not to stop. B1 'We almost lost Detroit' appeared when DJ W!LD opened another layer in work, layer that's finally resulted in his forthcoming album 'D!rty'. Perfectly embodying the spirit of this new opus, it's a pure jacking wild tune set to set floors on fire. Finally, 'When I leave u' is a speaker-busting wild rocking beat, powerfull & sexy, and prefectly concludes this EP.
DJ W!LD, one of the key residents at Circo Loco and Cocoon member, opened last year the doors to Palace, his debut artist album that is bursting with raw layers of funk and pure jacking beats and perfectly captures the infectious sound he is renowned for. Rising up to take his place as king of the underground, his path is showing no signs of slowing: the Palace remixes have drawn on the talents of DJ Sneak, Kerri Chandler, Art Department, Radio Slave, Jay Haze, Chris Carrier, SIS and Gauthier DM, his own productions and remixes will be soon be seen on hot labels like Robsoul, One Records or Viva, plus his sophomore album D!rty on Cabin Fever Records recently released. He's now a regular fixture of it all: the best international clubs and festivals, the leading labels, the hottest remixes and the sought-after DJ mixes, the press, the hype and the underground chatter. Yet through it all, and into the future the spirit that drives him will remain the same: deep, dark, acid, a little bit w!ld and always sexy music.
Launched last year, The W Label, his new imprint, is a place for his friends and him to reflect on experiences and musical influences. Its motto is we have W!LD records.
