Lurking far below the surface of the ocean, the mysterious Viperfish swims in solitude from any signs of human life. Dwelling in the dark, cold waters, he waits patiently and lures his prey in with a light producing organ; attacking at an astonishing speed. This fish is considered to be one of the most unusual looking and fascinating predators of the deep blue sea; he is a born hunter, a misfit, and yet his intricate design is beautiful and intriguing. This is the beginning of the story. Tim Xavier's first full-length work, titled Viperfish, is a meticulous assortment of live studio recordings, deep ethereal techno cadences, and fun, driving DJ tools. This collection of tracks encompasses his journey, which began ten years ago with his first techno releases in Chicago, continuing through New York during the minimal scene's prime, and finally bringing him to Berlin where he is perpetually inspired by the life around him. Filled with mystic hooks, ambient interludes and classic Xavier robust percussion; his work combines emotion with science, making this a well-rounded piece for audiophiles and auditors alike.
