DescriptionGabriel I & Quinn Jerome discover the farthest reaches of the town and draw back. Gazing helplessly at the romance that drifts by like a plume of peach-colored smoke, the two journeymen run into the square and smash apart their realities with feverish delight. The expensive gifts and flowing ornaments that encircle the buildings hint at the notion that Trustfunders may be near. Carefully, Gabriel and Quinn float away from the pretentiousness and glide toward the freshness wafting through the suspended fields. The Tulipa aura angles toward the future.
The entity known as Trustfunders begins as a fiendish ode to tripped out, tone-bent, otherworldly derivatives. This original version is cracked with salty hymns that seep through the finest layers of soft matter. Regardless of what the mood is before the track arrives, an ominous wave of morose synesthesia soon overtakes the vibe and strikes deep within the human soul. Nodding toward the subtler side of tech-house, Phonogenic's remix cleverly blends the neurosis of the original with modern-day techno wizardry. Desolate and satisfying, Phonogenic shows that a master has made his mark. Pavel Petrov yearns for energy and exoticness, and he reaches both with his sublimely gorgeous mix of Trustfunders. The groove is brought to the forefront and Pavel's skills as a champion are showcased throughout the entirety of his remix. Bringing closure to the EP is Gabriel I & Quinn Jerome's Cancun Electro, a melodically inclined treasure that bounces wildly throughout the auditory soundscape and harmonizes within its magnetic field. The EP's ending lands smoothly like a canopy falling from the evening sky.
Sliding back and forth along the sullen hillsides, both Gabriel and Quinn blast messages in thickets and sing praises on bogs. Tremendous and tenacious, the journey continues even though the physical realm has stopped momentarily. Trustfunders beware, Tulipa Recordings is here for the adventure and there is still time for the misanthropes to be dealt with swiftly. Fortunately, the items that matter most in life are preserved and represented as sounds within this Tulipa release. The archives open and once again a new chapter is added to the story.
