DescriptionLittle introduction is needed for the duo behind our next release.
Miguel Puente and Sishi Rosch have embarked on a rapid rise to the
forefront of the scene of late with releases on labels such as No.19
Music and Hot Creations. Originally from Mexico and Guatemala
respectively the pair are now based in Barcelona, enabling a a busy
schedule of gigs across Europe and beyond. 'Futuristic Gangsta House' is
how the pair describe their sound, a fitting name as influences from the
late 80's and old school Hip-Hop are clear. 'This Feeling' has already
reached somewhat of a cult status after becoming a key tune on the DC10
terrace this year and being used as the first track on the official
Circo Loco closing party video.
On the remix side of things we welcome the return of another duo in the
form of Death on the Balcony. Their style fuses a range of influences
from Disco, House and Deep Techno depending on the time, space and
environment. Their version of 'This Feeling' embodies this ethos to a
tee, impossible to pigeonhole yet an essential addition to the package
all the same. Whilst remaining true to the original it adds an new,
infectious, deeper context to the track.
And completing the EP, 2 thirds of the Lower East Trio in the form of
Cozzy D and Lee Brinx have teamed up to bring us their 'Back To '96
Remix'. In 1996, before Lower East was even a pipe dream, the pair were
both avidly collecting similar garage vinyl blissfully unaware of how
one day it would help bring them together as friends and colleagues.
Their mix is more than a casual nod to this bygone era, expertly fusing
past and present into cutting edge dancefloor fodder.
