  • Description We just released the 10 Year Anniversary Edition of Malente's first album 'The Spirit Of Malente' recently. While doing so we started a competition with the Discobelle blog to give some young remixers the chance to work on three Malente classics from this album. From the huge amount of remixes we received we picked the five most impressive to release on this Remix EP. Roby Howler from Russia, who already released on Top Billin took on 'I Sell Marihuana' and made it into an explosive tropical party bomb. Say Dubai from Italy who just released their debut on No Brainer Records reworked 'If I Was You' into their Trop-Tech trademark sound. Nautic -17 year old boy from of Germany - gives that same track an amazing Deep House treatment. Teenage Mutants known for their releases on Discobelle go jacking Tech House for their 'Mash up the Town' remix whereas Go Freek shift between Tropical and Dutch. Some big 2011 updates of Malente's first hits which date back to 2000. As they say: The spirit never dies.
