  • Description The Kannibalen virus has become uncontrollable. Strange new mutations have started appearing: the Infected are now smarter, stronger and hungrier. To stem the tide of darkness, Black Tiger Sex Machine has assembled a ragtag team of miscreants, punks and renegades whove managed to avoid infection. This squad of nomadic zombie-killers now fights beside BTSM, hunting down the Infected and seeking out the source of the virus. Their quest has become their religion their name: Studs, Spikes & Blood. Studs, Spikes & Blood is a new EP from Black Tiger Sex Machine on Kannibalen Records. It features original tracks by the Montreal-based trio, as well as three remixes. The first track on the EP is Rezorecta, a pounding barrage of dark melodies, anthemic rises and speaker-crushing bass hits, punctuated by a single, threatening vocal sample. The second cut, Vatican, draws influences from several genres of EDM, with its trance-style leads, acid-house bass line and 808 drums. The last original, Coven, is unabashed electro fun, driven by a phased-out synth riff and a classic, four-to-the-floor beat. Rezorecta also gets the remix treatment from three vastly different artists. Kai Wachis dubstep version uses the originals melody to craft one of his signature haunting buildups which revs up into ear-shattering synth madness. Italian duo Pornorockerz' take is a dance-floor ready acid techno jam. Australian producer Seek N Destroy turns the distortion into overdrive in his aggressive electro trash remix which is sure to melt faces around the world.
