  • Description It's hard to forget someone when they go by the name Dances With White Girls. You may already be familiar with the man for his past affiliation with The Rapture and their then Throne of Blood label and for his most recent collaboration with Mattie Safer (formerly of The Rapture) on "Is That Your Girl?" which he co-produced. After a string of remixes for other artists, Dances is ready to back up his ballsy name with the anthemic "It's About The House," an attitude-filled call to arms for the late-night crowd. This is bare-bones house track that reminds us of its roots in the basements, warehouses and hoods of Chicago. It ain't pretty but it sure feels good.

    The remixes:

Slow Roast's Codes takes "It's About The House" and transforms it into a monstrous big-room sure shot. This is heavy.

Fool's Gold's Cubic Zirconia give "I.A.T.H." a throwback twist influenced by Detroit techno with big swirls, 909 claps and stuttered vocals.

Runaway's Marcos Cabral brings a dub mix to the table with an acid bassline and heavy percussion.

Plant's man in Miami, Danny Daze delivers a retro Chicago-style remix with a catchy lead line and honking sax. Mmmm mmmm...saxy time!

NY's Kenny Summit gives it an electro house treatment with a dub remix with heavy synth bass and a driving beat with analog tom fills and arpeggiators.
