  • Description Northampton based producer Geezy (formally known as Gammer) was quick to catch the attention of many. Through years of experience and training in music, Matt Lee has built himself as one of the strongest composers in EDM. Striking back harder than ever now, Geezy is ready to blast through the scene, proving his capability and innovativeness with his debut release on DUSTLA, - Hashtag EP. The Hashtag EP makes an appearance with 1 original track paired along with 3 remixes, all fresh to ears across the world. Making a grand entrance, Geezy sets the stage for the EP with his title track. Hashtag comes layered with intense synthetic sounds and vocal sample riffs lightly glazing the top. Taking bass culture ten notches up, Geezy makes quite an impression. The buildup takes you on a journey through music that then drops with nine simple words, "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR MOTHERFUCKING HASHTAG!". Drumlines are launched straight into your face, trapping your body into a full bass-experience. Coming down the line next to the original is DUSTLA veteran ak9 with his own re-work of the track. Chopping vocals and re-constructing the song, ak9 makes an immensely produced remix that is sure to get the dancefloor shaking. The determined drums puncture your ears with tempting fast-spat basslines and bouncy synth-riffs. Then cooling down the heavy heated drumstep, Singularity makes his spot inside the release with a melodic glitch-hop rendition of the original. The slow-like pace makes a subtle yet commanding presentation as the initial vocals are displayed throughout the track. The euphoric breakdown breaches over glitch-barriers with a luscious coat of beeps and harmonies. Last but certainly not least is bass pioneer RoughMath with yet another take on the track. Bringing raw synths into play, he twists the atmosphere and splashes his very own homemade recipe of heavy dubstep. The entire EP is sure to stay in your head, keep an eye out for many more grand releases from Geezy and more!
