DescriptionAll Dom Wrong is the new solo project of New York based DJ / producer Dominque Keegan, and here he is turning it out for the summer with a release thats set to be in the boxes of many a DJ all throughout the year. Dom, who founded the Plant Music label and Plant Bar (RIP), has been a long time DJ in NYC and also front man to 00's indie dance outfit The Glass. In collaboration with Boston based vocalist Amy Douglas (The Juan MacLean, Lazaro Casanova, Treasure Fingers), the two have created a soulful house track with a nod to the New York Diva records of the 90s.
Give Myself Away is swaddled in a deep, rich, almost Balearic-yet-disco fuelled blanket with Amy Douglas adding something special via a deftly executed vocal thats yearning and soulful.
Kasper Bjorkes remix is a five-mute voyage into abstract, minimal disco whilst Aashton & Swifts remix is another standout coming across with subtle nostalgic chord progressions, stumbling beats and sunset ambience. Finally Trap Avoids remix is a pumping acid beast with a huge hammer-the-point-home riff delivering the climax.
