Energy Vibration Competition Winners

  • Artists Kwah, Mouldy Soul, MartOpetEr, Hedflux, Neurodriver
  • Release Date 2012-04-09
  • Labels Broken Robot
  • Catalog BRR022
  • Description Broken Robot are proud to present the results of the competition to remix Hedflux & Neurodrivers 2011 psy-breaks stormer: Energy Vibration. The competition attracted well over 100 entries, and selecting the top three wasnt easy. In fact there were so many good entries that the label will also be releasing some of the runners up later in the year, but first, here are the winners

Hailing from Yorkshire, UK, Kwah is a new name on the psy breaks scene whose production standard is leagues ahead of expectations. Coming out on top of the pile, Kwahs remix boasts razor-sharp drums and glitch tops underpinned by a warm and playful acidic bass to create a track which is not only psychedelic but oozes groove. Top stuff.

    Mouldy Soul
Richard Carrigan aka Mouldy Soul has been making waves on the Glitch Hop scene of late, with tracks signed to Colony Productions and Broken Records. His funky downbeat interpretation of the original was the only Glitch Hop remix we received, but damn we like it!

French psy-breaks producer Peter Guildoux otherwise known as Martopeters deep and broody take on the original really captivated our collective imaginations
