Dub In Chicago

  • Artists Daniel Dreier, Dale, Mioxam, Rhythm & Soul, Marcos In Dub
  • Release Date 2011-12-07
  • Labels Monofunk
  • Catalog MNFNK10
  • Description Marcos in Dubs concept of Dub is present at the original version of this "Dub in Chicago". Dub textures give the perfect background for hyper deep basses, remaining subtle at the back of a heavy groove. Hypnotic and intense, the original work puts up some tension with a heavy feeling of beauty around it. Daniel Dreier and Dale (Highgrade, GER) perform a more techie remix. With a deep synth loop building up all along the track, the funky taste of dubbed samples gives live to a piece that will fit a lot of sessions, different spaces and tastes. Highgrades duo demonstrates why Berlin keeps on setting trends of global electronic music. Rhythm & Soul (Monofunk Time Has Changed), the faceless project that has lately touched releasing great music, is also a very special part of Monofunk. He could not be let out of this EP, after he has proven his capacity to get inspired by spirits all over the electronic music globe. Once again, she (or he) delivers funky feeling at its highest, deep house to enjoy and mix, elegant and spiced with groovy pianos and stabs. Mioxam is the aka for the gifted Spanish producer Simon Garcia (Supplement Facts, Composite). His rework of "Dub in Chicago" is only a proof of whatever good can be told of him. The essences of techno, house, dub, funk, and dancing in clubs come together in a real tool for djs who need to bring up a crowd.
