  • Description 10 Years of Motech, and You're Just Getting to Know Us You may ask...why celebrate 10 years of a small independent record label? Because our relationship with music lasts longer than almost all of the other relationships in our lives. And any relationship that makes it 10 years is worth celebrating, especially when it comes to something as important to all of us as the music. Thats right, the music. Motech has never been about the name on the record or being recognized world wide. It's been about not only releasing quality music, but about releasing music that was coming out of Detroit and music that was inspired by Detroit that was one thing: different. Motech started off as a blue collar operation. A way for DJ 3000 to release his own music and the music of friends, artists and collaborations that he respected from around Detroit. It started local, and went global. From Detroit to Amsterdam to Tokyo and back again, Motech has featured releases and remixes from world renowned artists such as Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Robert Hood, UR, Gerald Mitchell, Orlando Voorn, Alexander Robotnik, Ken Ishii and Samuel L Session. But it has also been the outlet for up and coming artists as well as under the radar talent like Max Tckaz, Subotika and DJ Compufunk. Motech isn't chasing the global scene or latest trends, it never has and never will. Motech Records has forged its own path, and that path and those who have walked it are now 10 years deep. You might ask, why? We are asking, why not? Cheers to the first 10, even if you missed them, and here's to the next 10, be a part of them...
