Deville 1974

  • Artists Kaptain Cadillac
  • Release Date 2012-02-06
  • Labels Booty Call Records
  • Catalog BCR015
  • Description French ghetto pioneer and European Booty Bass unquestioned godfather, Kaptain Cadillac offers us a second EP, a personal and modern vision of ghetto tech. Within a street and shifted musical universe, his sound reflects the US Midwest influences mixed with Europeans club tones all of it served in a storm of BPM. Together reverent of his roots and innovative, the Cadillac sound approaches ghetto-tech as a unique style in permanent evolution.

Composed of three original tracks, this EP kicks off with the beastly Ghetto Zoo giving the club a furious bestiary look wakening up the bassthirst sleeping in all of us. Then come Bounce & Bang a punch with its frenetic arpeggios, in the fine ghetto-tech tradition made in Detroit. Ending with Booty Up Booty Down featuring Six Foe, the legendary Detroit MC from Databass Records chanting a furious burning calories anthem on well caliber synthesizers to move the most uncooperative booties.

Optimized for the moistest dancefloors around the world, this EP puts Booty Bass back into the center of worldwide bass musics and confirms Kaptain Cadillac's as highly ranked in international clubbing scene.
