  • Description Hi, We start the summer with a new Catalepsia release for the label that I'm really excited about. Jerome played it to me a few months ago and I instantly thought it was one of his strongest work. I also helped a bit with the mix so I feel quite close to it. As usual we got to work with amazing re-mixers from over Europe that have taken the track in really interesting and diverse directions. Conducting The Band bears all the elements we came to like in a Catalepsia track, a heavy four on the floor and strong deep bass line supports more cinematic elements than usual, a spooky synth riff and voices that seem to come from a a mid 80's Depeche Mode record. Delays and re verb adds to the trippy and futuristic feel of the track. On remix duty, we first find the legendary Scott Fraser. The man doesn't fool around and take the track to the basement and turns the light off. Dark and haunting are the words that spring to mind when listening to his masterpiece remix. Mr Fraser is a man of exceptional taste and talent as he's been proving on dance floors around the world for many many years. His remix has already been tested to great effect by another hero of ours Andrew Weatherall. Spanish mean duo Los Lopez are pretty punishing on their version. Their rise to fame on the Spanish club scene has given them a very strong sense of efficiency on the dance floor. If you don't move to that you're basically dead... Well I think this would make dead people dance. We absolutely love Los Lopez so watch out for a release by them on Days Of Being Wild very very soon. Newcomers french outfit Club Bizarre are known on their turf of Nancy and Metz in the north east of France for pushing the boundaries of what you'd expect to hear in a club. Their remix is a good illustration of how good their nights must be. Slow, sweaty and heavy are I think the best adjectives the describe the sonic world of those two vampires. I personally love how they slowed down the mix and still keeping a very strong sense of pace. Enjoy!
