  • Description Jaime Alguersuari has become popular thanks for being part of the elite group of F1 drivers (Toro Rosso, Red Bull) but he has a musician hidden inside of his soul and he has been developing really good production and djing skills in the past few years. He has successfully released the "Organic Life EP" + CD Mix for Blanco Y Negro in 2011 and he has been really busy in the studio working on new tracks and creating his new sound. "Anomalie Movini EP" is the result of spending long hours in the studio and it's an example of where his sound is moving from and to. This is unpretentious House music at its most sincere and purest form. Squire is the musical alias of Jaime and he delivers an EP that goes incredibly deep: deftly balancing hypnotic house grooves, delicious percussive flights and carefully manipulated vocal samples, tough and smooth in equal measure. "Anomalie Movini" and "Asamblee Musicale" aren't the ubiquitous clicks and glitches of minimal, but something far more inspired, skittering micro-rhythms and jewel-toned melodies. Planet E & Hotflush's Paul Woolford steps in on the remix and reduces the "Anomalie Movini" track to it's essence around a bruising, heavily swung, pounding rhythmic framework that has one foot in the warehouses and the other in the basements of South London. Everything here is focussed on creating a monstrous groove that never surrenders to the light. File alongside the work of Mike Dehnert, Shed, and Woolford's own Special Request project. ...
