DescriptionDubai's Audio Tonic imprint return this October with a five track VA EP entitled, 'ADE Sampler' ahead of next months Amsterdam Dance Event. The release comprises all original tracks from local talent and close associates of the Audio Tonic stomping ground 360 Club.
With a stellar roster including the likes of Florian Kruse, Spirit Catcher, Nikola Gala, Ian Pooley and Jimpster, its no surprise that Audio Tonic is considered one of the leading brands of contemporary dance music in the middle east today.
Here they deliver a various artists release of relatively up and coming producers, shaping up as five solid cuts of deep, emotive house music. RedDub & Sam Farsio's 'Obsessed' kicks things off, an organic natural swing on the drum programming is applied using tom and snare rolls and sporadic cymbal crashes. Soulful vocals, a hooky bass-line and raw piano stabs are later introduced rounding off the composition as a brilliant deep-house number. Rassek's '80's High' follows employing a nostalgic disco edge as the 80's nod would suggest, a retro bass-line and warbling resonant disco synths create a bumpy groove while the cleverly applied organic percussion and clap rolls add an infectious swing.
Seva K returns to the label with 'What I Want' following his highly praised 'My Love' EP which saw support from DJ Deep, Milton Jackson and Shur-I-Kan to name a few. As expected the Night Drive Music and Urban Torque artist delivers no-nonsense deep house with raw shuffled drums, subtle bass licks, bright synth chords and warm strings, frankly all you need to create real deep house. The elements brilliantly meander around each other for its near nine minutes creating something classic and refined.
Next up is pothOles 'Piezo', an old school electro-tinged cut that applies lush classical strings, an insistent piano melody, sporadic acid hooks and bell chimes over a continuous gritty bass-line, creating a perfect peak time nu- disco track. Label co-owner Raxon closes the release with 'Man On A Mission' a pacey affair that's driven by its heady drum groove and elongated synth warbles that flutter around the percussion. This movement continues throughout the entire track with minute filter sweeps and low-key modulation creating an evolving dynamism keeping things interesting.
