Rare Grooves

  • Artists Jamie Anderson, Louis Osbourne
  • Release Date 2010-04-19
  • Labels Front Room Recordings
  • Catalog FRM031
  • Description What happens when you get two seasoned dance music veterans and lock them in a studio? Perhaps a clash of personalities leading to: missing teeth, stolen silverware, skin rashes etc. Not with Jamie Anderson and Louis Osbourne. Their entertainment backgrounds immediately put them on the same wavelength, (Jamies Mum was in Return of the Jedi, and Louis Dad has dabbled in rock music), and birthed their love-child and debut EP, "Rare Grooves".

Jamie is still riding high with his "Vacations EP" on Front Room Recordings and recent releases on his own Artform imprint, Elevation Recordings and Mija Recordings. Aside from an outstanding DJ career that nearly spans two decades, Louis Osbourne has been focusing on his own Mija Recordings which has seen releases from the likes of Android Cartel, Jet Project, Alan Fitzpatrick, Celtec Twinz, Jamie Anderson, Psycatron, Miniminds, M.in & Daniele Papini.

"Rare Grooves" screams early morning dance floor killer. With a sleazy synth line, a beat that makes you want to commit crime and massive breakdown that inspired hands-in-air-euphoria and whistles from Front Room staff.

DJ Support from: Luciano, DJ Sneak, Riva Starr, Laurent Garnier, Chateau Flight, Oliver $, Round Table Knights and Catz N' Dogz to name a few.
